About Sea Moss

How do I store my sea moss?
As soon as you receive your gel, refrigerate it for 5 hours before use. For all gels, we package it carefully with cold packs, however, you'll want to refrigerate for a few to make sure it will return to it's intended consistency. Gels should be used within 4-6 weeks or by the "Best By" date included on your jar. You can also transfer your sea moss gel to a freezer safe container or to your ice cube tray and freeze for up to 6 months.
How is your sea moss gel prepared?
All of our sea moss is soaked with Spring or Distilled water ONLY for at least 24 hours and rinses 3x. It is also soaked with lime as lime is a natural preservative.
What does the sea moss gel taste like?
It can be tasteless! Ours is soaked in lime as lime is a natural preservative so you may taste just a hint but nothing overwhelming. I put it in my coffee each morning (I probably should drink more tea, don't judge me now!) and can't taste any lime at all. Our infused flavors will carry the flavor of the infusion.
How long does sea moss gel last for?
4-6 weeks, depending on the infusion. We include a “best by” date on all orders. To extend the shelf life of your order, transfer to a freezer safe container or an ice cube tray. It can last up to 6 months frozen.
How are you keeping safe during COVID-19?
We're taking our daily dose of sea moss, of course :). All staff are required to do temperature checks and clothing changes before work. We're disinfecting ALL the thangs, wearing our gloves and masks. We're dedicated to maintaining optimal health for our community.
